Family matters across borders need clear, careful guidance.
01About the firm
Brazilian family law advice in London, England
I am a lawyer with five years of practice in Goiás, Brazil, working in family and succession law. I advise Brazilians who live in London and elsewhere in the United Kingdom on matters governed by Brazilian law. Each case involves people, history and decisions that shape the daily life of an entire family, and that is how it is handled.
The priority is to explain every step clearly, weigh the possible paths, including agreed solutions, and act firmly when a dispute cannot be avoided. Appointments are held by video call, so distance is not an obstacle.
Please note: I advise on Brazilian law only. I do not advise on English law or appear before courts in the United Kingdom.

05Frequently asked questions
Common questions
General answers to the most common questions before a first conversation.
Do I need to travel to Brazil to be advised?
Not necessarily. Appointments are held by video call, which makes it practical for those who live in the United Kingdom.
Does the firm advise on English law?
No. The firm advises on Brazilian family law only. For matters governed by English law you will need a solicitor qualified in England and Wales.
Is a divorce granted in the UK valid in Brazil?
A foreign divorce generally needs to be recognised in Brazil before producing certain effects there. Whether and how this applies depends on your documents and circumstances, which we analyse case by case.
How is child support set?
The amount takes into account the needs of the child and the means of the paying parent, and can be reviewed if circumstances change. Cross-border cases require individual analysis.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. Information shared with the lawyer is protected by professional secrecy and handled in line with data protection rules.
